Our methodology

Today. Jammies.com.au is a new publication. Our current guides are research-led — built from fabric specifications, brand reputation, retailer information and publicly available customer reviews. We have not yet published any in-house hands-on product reviews and we say so on every guide.

How we research picks today

1. Shortlist — products that meet a clear fabric, fit and price brief for the guide.
2. Specification check — fibre composition, weight, weave, certifications (OEKO-TEX, GOTS, FSC) and Australian standards (e.g. AS/NZS 1249 for children's nightwear).
3. Customer-review sweep — sentiment and recurring themes across the retailer's own reviews and independent review sites.
4. Editorial assessment — comfort reputation, value, brand track record and Australian availability.
5. Rank & explain — picks ranked with the trade-offs spelled out in plain English.

Hands-on testing — rolling out in 2026

Our in-house testing program is being built out across 2026: sets purchased at retail, worn for multiple weeks, washed on repeat for durability, scored across comfort, fabric, fit, durability and value, and clearly labelled with the test date.
